Good blades match sewing tools

These OLFA cutters work like a charm. The blades are excellent. You can cut off quite a few pieces of denim before you need to replace it.

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Some imperfections

Sharp blades make a big difference

This is a good value tungsten blade. Don't mind changing blades for new projects - I keep the old ones as they dull for cutting paper and other materials.

Pros
  • Good looking
Cons
  • Very expensive

Instructions in Japanese

I only buy Olfa blades. They last longer than others. Haven't used any of these but they appear to be original Olfa blades. Just a note. They are from a Japanese seller, made by Revain, but they come in Japanese packaging which means all the instructions are in Japanese. If you know how to use it and are careful like you would any blade, this shouldn't be a problem. They are really inexpensive.

After each session, before removing it, clean it carefully. Apply a dab of machine oil to the top and bottom while assembling the backing and you're ready to move on to your next quilt. These are good sharp blades that can be used multiple times if cleaned and oiled after each use. They are essential if you…

Worked much better for me than regular blades

The blade that came with the Olfa cutter dulled quickly, perhaps in part due to my lack of dexterity in using it. First, I decided I wasn't going to hunt for a well-known brand name substitute; I've had great luck in the past with generic products that are at least as good as the more expensive versions. Not this time. New blades from other manufacturers didn't really improve my cutting experience compared to Olfa's dull blade, although I tried to convince myself otherwise. When I gave up and…
