Good value for beginners

I didn't know what my old cheap 14 inch Reliant band saw would be used for the most. knew I needed blades because the blades I had were terribly dull. That's why I ordered this set. I wasn't disappointed in what I did. All 3 effortlessly cut oak. I've mostly used a 5/8" 3 TPI saw blade for sawing oak and maple. With a good feed, my cheap saw will cut it in no time.

Pros
  • Unique high carbon steel - the best balance of strength and flexibility
Cons
  • Not as thick as the others

Not impressed but they work

Fur they are ok. I have always used Sterling Diamond band saws in the past but bought these when I needed Revain free shipping and fast delivery. They work well, better than the cheap Bosch blades I once picked up on a whim, but nowhere near the quality of Sterling blades (and around the same price). Welds are so-so. The weld on the 3/16" required a lot of work on the back to keep it from clicking and jiggling forward on contact with the thrust bearing. The process of getting it in shape took…

Pros
  • Country of Origin: USA
Cons
  • You could choose a newer model

Very weak welds - band saw blades

I bought a set of 3 Olson All Pro blades thinking the reduced price would be worth it. I was wrong. Although the blades appear quite sharp, the weld on the two smaller blades broke off with very light use. You might think it could be improper blade tension or guide adjustments, but I might not be the most accurate band saw maker out there. I've never had a single Timberwolf breakdown. After the first two blades broke I installed the third (the overcut blade) and the back of the blade past the…

Pros
  • Premium quenched and hardened material - stronger and faster blade cut
Cons
  • Expensive
