Breaking Welds for Power and Hand Tools

Bought 3 of these blades, they cut properly but all blades failed the weld in the same way. Luckily I have a welder/annealer/grinder at work on an old vertical band saw. When blades fail in a weld, it's usually because it wasn't properly annealed.

Olson is the best manufacturer of power tool parts and accessories

ok for starters i ordered regular blades and then i saw metal cutting blades so i ordered 4 of those non metal too . One arrived yesterday and I put one on my 4" x 6" metal band saw and while it's not made for cutting carbide it did it with authority, I cut 4 pieces of 3/4" steel and it cut pretty quick and perfect straight so im very happy boy if they cut that well the metal cutting blades should last a very long time i will be getting them on thursday 28th june 12 so just in case someone…

Not recommended

I have cut quite a lot of mild steel mostly pipe and angles and the blades usually last several months and make hundreds and hundreds of cuts before they are replaced, they have it all with no failure, usually due to wear on thin or missing teeth. I bought three of these blades because the price was good and kept them in reserve for a few months. When my old blade finally broke, I used one of these. It lasted just over a week and only made a few dozen cuts before becoming dull; I doubt she…
