🐱 25-Inch Lean-It Scratching Post Review

I just got it delivered yesterday and my cat is already scared of it and won't go near it. I leaned it against the wall, but it's so light that the first time my cat put his paw on it, he fell off. She was concerned about this so I sprayed her with catnip spray and it brought her back. I put him in a corner to keep him from tipping over on his side and he just fell on her! The first tug of her claws and he was lifted off the wall. She screamed and ran away, not wanting to go near him again…

My cat and I love these scratching posts. They seem very durable and long enough for my cat to sit on and still have a good stretch when scratching. We just put them on the floor. I usually try to test things before I let her use them with (hopefully) cat-sized force, in a way that I can imagine her using, and yes, I don't see any way the thing won't fall off simply by leaning against a wall, any surface, corner, etc. So yeah, it sucks a bit that the company advertises that it can do that, but…

I love this item. I swear this is the best "post" for cat scratches I've ever found. NO I LOVE THIS THING, I WANT ONE IN EVERY ROOM! Sorry this is long, but do yourself and your cats a favor and DO NOT INTERRUPT. Since there is no way to protect him, he will FALL and scare your cat, and most likely they won't touch him after he "tries to kill them" (come on, we all know how melodramatic cats are). After reading too many comments about falling off this inclined scraper etc etc basic common sense
