this transmitter unit has a good "Omix-Ada" design but doesn't even come close, too short, mounting holes in the tank only fit if the float is against that tank baffle . This unit will not fit a 1953 m38a1 Willys Overland. Have a nice day and enjoy your old iron.

The instrument is supplied with the electrical connection screw tightened so that it cannot be unscrewed. Instead, the entire connector flipped, meaning it was internally unplugged. It was already installed in the gas tank, so there's no way to retrieve it after dipping it in gas. Getting a refund from Revain other than returning the product is next to impossible so I ended up eating it and getting a different model (Crown) instead.

Restoration complete and sensor installed almost as the last item. However, the gauge will always show "Full” no matter how much fuel is in the tank. Today I brought it to the store and after checking I was told that the sender is bad. I am willing to contact the seller to see if they can help.
