This is a beautiful rocker board. I love the layers of wood and grain pattern. It is a quality made board.This definitely works best on hard surfaces. There is a big difference between this rocker board and a balance board. This one is super easy to use and only rocks so far before stopping. There are different exercises you can do including walking with the board.At the time of this review the retail price was around $99 which is reasonable for the quality.

First of all, this is a fine rocker board -- it's very sturdy, with a number of layers pressed together that makes it solid as a rock. The clear vinyl on the bottom ensures that you won't scratch a wood or tile floor. It works well on both carpet and hard surfaces, and allows you a full 360-degree movement, not just side to side, and it feels very solid all the way. I took it out of the box, put it in my office. I caught the edge of my shoe on the edge and a chunk of the laminate broke off. I initiated the Best Buy return and packed it back into the box before lunch time.

The standing board itself is awesome, the height is perfect and it's pretty stable so no need to worry about failing while concentrating on work.The only downside is the quality control. I ordered two standing boards from Best Buy with a week apart and both came with defects.

Standing on this board is equivalent to standing on the ground and swaying one's hips. It does not promote movement. I've reviewed other similar products and while this one is visually more pleasing, the design is not one that is effective.

I love balance equipment and have a variety of balance boards and half-balls. All the ones I already have are meant to be incorporated into an exercise regime, designed to strengthen abs and legs. This thing is solidly built and will last pretty much forever. It wobbles enough that you keep moving throughout the day, but not so much that you need to concentrate on your balance while working. I use it everyday and appreciated it enough that I had to give one as a gift.

I have a standing desk at work and use it for about an hour a day, but I often find myself shifting from foot to foot while I do so. This rocker board lets me stand in one spot while still shifting my weight so my legs don't tire as quickly. The board is big enough to stand comfortably but not so big that it makes people pay attention to it other than to admire the wood grain. Very nice.
