Mostly good roof rack legs

Reasonable price for solid brackets. They fit on my Thule square tube carrier without any problems. The bolts are long, but when flipped they don't bother at all. However, I found a vulnerability. The weight of my kayaks is far below the calculated limit. The breakdown happened when I loaded them during their first use. It's okay because the legs still held their shape. In general, it's just ***, maybe ***. Like I said the brackets are very strong, the welds look great and I can easily fix a…

Quality and Simplicity in Roof Racks

I have purchased from this company before and based on that experience I bought them. Quick and easy to assemble, the quality seems high and the bolts are not too long for my square trusses. The rubber is pretty sticky (well it's brand new) and holds the boat so well that when loading I may have to cover them with a cloth so I can put the boat in place. Once attached I appreciate that sticky fixation so I would remove that fabric. Advice only. Also, watch out for those hand-tight nuts - like…

Great little feet! in kayak, canoe and SUP racks

Great little feet for all types 🛶! Took them on a 3 hour trip and worked great. The instructions were vague at best. I measured roughly the width of the boat where I thought the legs would be and then placed the legs on the rungs at that width. It worked great. The rubber on the legs is sticky which is great but can be a problem on its own. I'm sure it can be fixed with a sock or something, but I just wiggled it back and forth there. The flexibility of the rubber allows the kayak to hold the…

Holds securely best in kayak, canoe and SUP racks

In fact it holds a little too securely. I found that I had to put terry cloth/washcloths/towels on the two rear legs so I could slide the boat's hull onto the machine. Without them, the rubber of the cradle will stick to the boat and prevent it from sliding. In the end it's good. a very good thing, i think. Overall I am very happy with this purchase and it has helped me easily move my boat from North Florida to Washington DC during my trip. I took off one star in the rating (specifically for…

Fits Honda CRV 2016.

Not my first attempt to find a kayak saddle that fits the Honda CRV crossbars, but the only one that fits. Saddles have a rubberized part that sits between the saddle and the top of the handlebars. It doesn't want to slide over the bar and keeps the kayak right where you want it. Even if the clamps are loose it stays on but moves when you press on it, a nice feature. It fits into the top clamp instead of just resting on the bar so it's held securely by the top clamp. The bottom of the clip is…
