Terrible size - too small

I should have read the reviews on it. My child is 12 and wears a size 14 O'Neil wetsuit. The wetsuit fits well and even has a bit of room to grow. I ordered a rash guard in the same size 14. When I took him out of the box he looked like a 6 year old! Tried it anyway and it was more like half top. At least we had a good laugh before sending it back.

Pros
  • Great for boogie boarding. You can't beat O'Neill's product price.
Cons
  • They are very small - my son is skinny and rarely puts them on.

Too small even if you order 2 sizes bigger

I ordered a size 12 for my very skinny 9 year old who normally wears a size 8. I actually thought he looked ok but he said the neck was too tight so would have to return.

Pros
  • A little undersized. Overall a good buy.
Cons
  • Way too small. Order a size or two larger

VERY SMALL in my opinion

Great quality and comfort but 2-3 sizes smaller than you think. I understand it should be snug, but it fits too small for my skinny mini kid! It won't last another season.

Pros
  • Machine washable for easy care
Cons
  • The size is too small! Ordered a size 12 which said it would fit up to 5ft which is more like a 4 year old!

Wrong size: my review

Too small! My son is 12 so I ordered a size up to 14 and it looks like it would fit an 8 year old. Will return. Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • Small size (and I have a skinny kid). I'll buy another one, but this time it's bigger.
Cons
  • It was the size of a child's shirt. My son managed to put it on but he got hives as soon as he got wet. We threw it away.

it's ok feedback from me

I bought this in navy blue it fits perfectly don't get me wrong but when it came it wasn't navy blue and green I thought it was navy blue and green but I still love it I just want that the letters are as in the description

Pros
  • Worked great. My daughter liked it.
Cons
  • Too small. Child size 8 is closer to size 4.

Small size!: my review

I have a feeling they run small! I ordered size 14 because it's exactly the size we needed! It didn't fit. It looked like a size 7/8. Tiny!

Pros
  • Made from quick-drying materials for comfort
Cons
  • Good

Revainrating 3 out of 5

super small good for me

I ordered size 14 for my son who is 14 years old. He is 5 feet 8 inches and 130 pounds. very thin child. it was so full he couldn't even move his arms. I understand rash guards are supposed to be tight, but this was extreme. order before! Most likely number 16 or more would suit him.

Pros
  • Have a few, works great and no more permanent sunscreen for kids.
Cons
  • I bought a size 14 but it didn't fit for 12 years (small size).

Excellent, BUT not enough! Order 1-2 sizes larger

Our 8 and 12 year old boys usually wear short sleeve O'Neill Basic Skin Rashguards (regular slim fit) for the swim team so we buy a size down (size 6 and 10) to give them a tighter fit. BUT this time we decided to try the Pro fit (Surfer) and it is MUCH smaller. Size 10 fits our skinny 8 year old. Perfect for a swim team but couldn't be smaller. It looks so small but when stretched it works well. We would order 14 for our 12 year old. Great design for swimming, but the size can definitely be…

Pros
  • Perfect for summer vacations or pool parties
Cons
  • way too small!

Less than specified is fine for me

We ordered size 8 for my son but it fits 5t more, he is SUPER SMALL. At first I thought they accidentally sent the wrong size but it is an 8. Order 2+ sizes larger than your child's normal size. Otherwise the shirt is high quality and durable.

Pros
  • increase the size. at least 2 sizes.
Cons
  • Way too small.

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Runs at least 2 sizes smaller

Tiny! I even rated it based on the reviews! My son is not tall for his age! I would say 2-3 sizes bigger! Return was easy and hassle free, hence 3 stars.

Pros
  • Good quality, bought size 10 for my 5 year old boy.
Cons
  • Dislike works very little and I mean small

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Thin, smelly and dense! Def. MUCH more sizes!

My son is 9 years old, 1.95 m tall and weighs 73 kg. So tall and slim. In the photo it's a size 14. I'd probably be happier if I went one size up. 🙄 He says the neck and arms are nice and tight (and he's skinny too)! Definitely has a strong weird smell as another reviewer also pointed out to me! Also, I was surprised that this rashguard is so thin for a nicer brand. I hope he really is so don't help him burn out or else I'll have to say something else!

Pros
  • Made from high quality materials for durability
Cons
  • I order 3 same size O'Neill t-shirts for my boys and this one was WAY smaller... for some reason. I will have to return it.

Good buy in my opinion

My daughter loves this brand of rashguard. Also, she loves color. But for some reason the neck on this one is a bit tighter than the others. The item arrived on time and well packaged. Thanks!

Pros
  • Great for both boys and girls
Cons
  • Runs very little!

Very small: my rating

Works very little. My daughter is 8 and a size 10 is too tight for her so I can't put it in the dryer at all. Go 2 sizes bigger. I should have taken size 12

Pros
  • It comes in a classic white color that is easy to mix and match with other clothes.
Cons
  • Well done, it's a tight shirt

Doesn't work well enough for me

I have had many rash guards over the years including O'Neal and I know they need to be a snug fit. It turned out to be a few sizes too small for my son.

Pros
  • Offers a comfortable and breathable fit for everyday wear
Cons
  • The fabric is lighter than expected. There should have been a better way to describe the density of the fabric :(Thanks!

Don't buy if you want quality

Order a size larger than usual and know the quality isn't up to O'Neil's level. The neck of this shirt ripped after the first use.

Pros
  • Helps prevent sunburn and skin damage
Cons
  • very small, not true to size

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Quality is good, runs small!

Runs small/snug so go up a size, my son is very slim and was too tight so had to go back and size up. Good quality! Thanks for attention.

Pros
  • The crew neck is comfortable and offers sufficient protection
Cons
  • I bought a size 14, the shirt says '14' but the actual size is between 10 and 12! money wasted!

SO SMALL: my rating

Based on other reviews I ordered my daughter 2 sizes up. It wouldn't even fit on her head, and she's very petite. She is 9 years old and usually wears a size 8 or medium and I ordered her a size 10 in this rashguard top. It's small and honestly looks more like a size 4/5. We love the material and the color that's why I gave it 3 stars. My daughter loves the color so I ordered size 14 (!) so we'll see how it fits her.

Pros
  • Provides rash protection to prevent skin irritation while swimming, surfing or other water activities.
Cons
  • The shirt is very, very small!

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Works very little, the best in my rating

Runs small, judging by other reviews I ordered a size up. Still very small. If your child is between sizes or larger than their current size, I would recommend going 2 sizes up. Otherwise my son loves it!

Pros
  • I received it quickly and it saved my swimmer from sunburn.
Cons
  • Extremely small, my son is 12 and I bought a size 16 and it was too small for a toddler.

Too small.: my rating

Extremely small. Youth 4 is more like 2t. Unfortunately the labels came off when I was struggling to put it on my child's head to see if I could get it working for tomorrow's water park trip. Unfortunately I have to run to the mall and look for a new one that is the right size. This is my 2 year old who wears it not my 5 year old) he wears 2t and it just fits.

Pros
  • Can be worn for water sports or casual wear
Cons
  • Very small - I like it; great quality but awfully small

Poor size quality: my review

Order size 4 and 10 for my kids and large ax for my husband. The shirts are very small. My 3 year old wears a size 10. My 10 year old cannot wear it. Too small. And my husband who is usually tall. So disappointment. Can I get a refund? Or the shirt itself has a nice nice color.

Pros
  • Manufactured by a trusted swimwear and outerwear brand
Cons
  • Mal tallada, mas pequeña de lo esperado
