Small size ..... - my new review

The quality is ok, but it runs small. I ordered a size 6 for a medium 4 year old and it is too small. I recommend ordering a few sizes up.

Pros
  • Available in different sizes making it suitable for a wide range of ages.
Cons
  • The teal/black/cool gray combination may fade over time due to exposure to chlorine and sunlight.

Very, very little is possible.

I ordered a size 10 for my son (he usually wears a size 8 in shirts) and was hoping for a good fit. It's very small. I had to get at least two sizes bigger. He complains that he rubs it after wearing it for too long. I gave it three stars because it seems well made but definitely disappointed that I spent so much on a shirt that could be good for a trip or two to the beach.

Pros
  • Good quality shirt. just fits perfectly. I should have taken a size bigger. But it's enough for the holidays!
Cons
  • Works too little. My child is 6 years old and I bought size 8...it barely fits him.

My kids love it good for me

Bought so both boys can swim. They complained that the water was too cold. This will help keep them warm. Fits a little tight and snug, but that's how it's designed. Plus they look cool in them.

Pros
  • Sewn with strong stitching to prevent tearing or fraying
Cons
  • UPF 50+ protection can give a false sense of security and lead to children spending more time in the sun without proper sunscreen and other protection.

Small fit and thin material

The material is thin and thinner when stretched considering the fit is small. If held up to the light, the light can be seen through the holes in the fabric, so it cannot provide 50+ protection.

Pros
  • Good product, the size is slightly different...
Cons
  • Very small size. Although the quality is good.

Terrible wrong sizing. They are sooo small.

Size chart used and measured. I ordered a size 12 for my 10 year old son and got one that would fit a 3 year old. The shirt behind the rashguard is an Old Navy t-shirt, size 10-12. How would a boy of the same size fit in this tiny rashguard? Unfortunately I tore off the labels before unrolling the rashguard and now I'm stuck with that.

Pros
  • Everything OK.
Cons
  • Tiny

O'Neill Youth Skins Long Sleeve Rash Long Sleeve Size 10

I bought these for my seven year old daughter as many reviews said they are small and tight around the neck. That wasn't our experience with this shirt. It was too big for her but it was such a good price we're keeping her until she grows up. I find these shirts to be the right size for average to athletic kids. Shirts should be close-fitting to fit into a wetsuit and/or limit drag when swimming/surfing.

Pros
  • Provides excellent protection from harmful UV rays
Cons
  • The gray part has started to fade.

I bought size 10 for my son who is average.

I bought size 10 for my son who is 8 years old on average and it fits him perfectly. I understand it should be tight but the size seems to be smaller.

Pros
  • Ideal for water sports or any outdoor activity where sun protection is needed.
Cons
  • The premium nature of the product may make it too expensive for some families to justify a purchase.

This is a very soft shirt and my 7 year old loves it. They are designed to be snug but little boys don't like them too tight so my 7 year old is very slim. His chest is 24 inches, waist is 21 inches, and arm length from shoulder to wrist is 15 inches. I bought him a size 10 after reading previous reviews.

Pros
  • Recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation; UV protection UPF 50+
Cons
  • So far so good

Pros
  • Performance Fit: Tight, slim layers fit like a second skin
Cons
  • Slightly torn

This item was ridiculously small. I ordered size 14. I've been buying rash guards for 7 years now. The smallest I bought was a size 6. I currently have a size 8, 10, lots of 12's and 14's. It's the same size as my 8's. Considering it's listed as a size 14, that's too big. My 13 year old wears a size 14. My 10 year old wears a size 12. They haven't been a size 8 since they were 7. Only buy for small children. That's not O'Neal's problem as my kids have O'Neal's rash guards. That's the seller's…

Pros
  • Minimal seam placement for maximum rash protection
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide
