It's strong enough to lock my bike on a college campus, although it might not be suitable for big cities. Has worked reliably for two years. You will need to add some grease/oil from time to time to keep the lock from sticking. No rust problems and great value for money.

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to a kryptonite lock to go to work. It meets all requirements. I'd say the key travel is a little less smooth than Kryptonite, but that's a very small difference. It is worth noting that my bike is not parked in a risk area.

I have had the lock for about a year and it has served me well up until the last two weeks. Now when I try to pick the lock it gets "stuck" and it takes multiple attempts and effort to pick the lock. I tried my other key and also used wd-40 to clean the mechanism. I'm going to throw this lock away and buy another lock and brand as I'm afraid to lock it and get stuck somewhere!

There is a note on the packaging to remind the user to do maintenance 2 times a year to ensure the lock can work well for a long time. This is a very good lock, quite heavy and fits perfectly on my bike and the racks I usually connect it to in my area. It fits in my trunk bag so I didn't need the frame mount that came with the lock.
