This is a must have if you love loose tea

This is a must have if you love loose tea. It's good enough to pair with a fancy tea set, but sometimes I just use it with my Disney mug. Speaking of which, the strainer can cover all of my cups/mugs so it can be used with more than just narrow cups/mugs.

Pros
  • Brilliant preparation
Cons
  • Unbelievable price

Finally a no-fuss solution for straining brewed loose tea

The tea strainer fits directly onto the cup, making it easy to brew loose tea in the kettle. When it's time to pour the tea into the cup, the loose tea falls into the strainer. Easy! I have tried so many different tea balls and this simple and expensive solution is so much better.

Works very well.: Tea Strainers & Filters

Just what you need to strain loose tea after brewing in a teapot. I usually use it on a mug because I like a good cup of tea. Some have mentioned that it won't fit wider teacups, which wouldn't be a problem. It's meant to be used to strain tea brewed in a teapot, so just hold it under the teapot spout over the cup like I do with the long-handled tea infuser. It's not meant to sit on a cup and brew tea, it's designed to strain tea from a teapot.

Beautiful and functional

Beautiful and functional. It is designed for a teacup. not a mug I didn't know until I got it but worked great and gave me a reason to use my lovely teacups! Two points to note: 1. You must fill the cup to the brim so that your tea leaves are submerged in the brewing water. 2. The mesh in the strainer is not very thin, so some of the tea (especially rooibos!) will pass through. If it's a deal breaker, consider a different screen. I like the included metal dropper. I use it to cover the top of…

Great and attractive everyday strainer

Nice, good design at a great price. The strainer is fine enough to strain the honeybush tea that I often make for my kids. Attractive wings sit comfortably on all the cups and mugs we have, and even on the tall glass jar I drink a lot of green tea from; If I place it carefully, it even lies on top of the French Press we use daily for soaking (although kids have been known to get knocked down in the French Press when they get rowdy). The mesh cup itself is small enough to fit in the mouths of…

Out with the old one!

My daughter and I love hot tea and we were very excited when a new tea shop opened in our area. They have beautiful white china teapots and they used this strainer. Well we loved it and searched for it on Revain and here it is! Up until now we have been patiently pouring loose leaf tea through an all-metal version of this strainer, with holes drilled in the metal like a dusting spoon. This took some time and if poured too quickly, the tea would overflow through the strainer. So we poured…

Perfect size tea infuser with its own saucer

This is a great little tea infuser. I use mine to strain out loose tea that I put in my teapot when I pour the tea from the teapot into a preheated thermograph. This tea infuser fits perfectly on my vacuum jug, easing my efforts to brew hot tea throughout the day. When I'm done sifting, I can put a strainer in its own saucer to catch the drips from the sifted tea leaves. For those interested: I'm preheating my Harold Import Co. kettle. (Revain) 75 ounce, 12 cup and my 68 ounce stainless steel…

Nice tea strainer

Perfect for all my cups. I've used it for every cup I own except for very wide necks where you could get a huge, frothy cappuccino at a coffee shop. they are clearly too wide. It sits easily on my tiny Japanese teacups, looks beautiful with my fancy porcelain teacups, and works great on everyday coffee mugs. occasionally. My husband's lychee oolong, for example, is delicious, and you can see a few tiny black specks on the bottom of the cup. With a good tea leaf, however, that doesn't matter and
