The overall quality and finish is very good.

Put it on my 50mm and it works great. It comes in a two-piece assembly. The default settings use a 58mm thread as the main engagement. My lens uses a 52mm thread, so I don't use a 58mm thread at all. However, the product only comes with a 58mm cap. I had to buy a separate 52mm cover but at least it was metal. The supplied lid is made of plastic. In fact, both covers are made of plastic. The overall quality and finish is very good.

Wonderfully happy! for camera and photo

Review expired !Canon EOS Rebel SL1 I love this lens. I can't afford a great macro lens so I jumped when I saw this :) I was torn between a diopter lens and lens extenders. I chose this diopter lens and I couldn't be happier :) You will have some difficulties getting to know this glass but once you find its best place you will be proud of it. I like to use it with my 18-55mm lens. Preferably. My 50mm comes second and then my 75-300. Sorry I wish I had more time to type. I have included some…

Cheap but effective. The only thing I would like to point out to those looking to buy a macro adapter like this is that your depth of field will also decrease dramatically. If you are used to an acceptable focus of a few centimeters, e.g. At F1.8, for example, be prepared to have at most a few millimeters of acceptable focus. You need to stop down a lot to get decent focus, and even with optical image stabilization on the body or lenses, you're actually shooting from a tripod rather than a…

Worth the money!

I bought this lens almost a year ago and it has taken me a while to use it and I am pleasantly surprised at the quality of the pictures I am able to take. Are you finding the best macro lens? Let's not joke that this is a cheap lens and there are some pretty expensive macro lenses that you can buy. However, for this price you won't find a better deal. At least the few I've tried. I know it's never what anyone wants to hear. People want to hear, "Yes, that's the lens for you." I'll make it…

NOT compatible with Nikon D3400 18-55mm lens

This is a great lens as it was able to capture close-up shots that would otherwise be impossible (I know because I tried!). FEEL like a quality product because it's made entirely of metal and glass, not plastic like many other lenses. Of course it adds weight, but I appreciate the quality feel. It also comes with nice protective caps AND a small drawstring pouch to keep it in. I give it 5 stars for all of the above reasons; However, I have to return it as it does not fit my Nikon D3400 18-55mm…

Excellent results with a fast lens and good light

Absolutely smitten with this adorable baby! I expected a thin, transparent strip, but got a hefty piece of glass and metal. And it works! I'm a dedicated still life photographer and have wanted a Nikon 85mm macro lens for a long time, but at $500 I just couldn't justify the cost. I recently got myself a 35mm Prime f1.8 lens (and I LOVE it) that focuses out to 11.8", and then I stumbled across this $25 bad boy, why not? This is the third photo I took. Just look at this detail. Maybe 2 inches…

Excellent value for money and quality!

I'm not a professional photographer so I can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a macro lens but I'm very pleased with the results of this macro adapter. Contrary to some other reviews here, my Canon EOS Rebel XSi camera with a standard 18-55mm lens attached was able to autofocus using a macro adapter lens. I set the lens at 55mm and was able to autofocus up to 4 1/2 to 2 1/4 inches between the subject and the 10x macro lens. I took a photo of the New World Order Pyramid on the back of a

I am very satisfied with this product.

Despite the bad reviews I am very satisfied with the product. I spent quite a bit trying to figure out what diameter would fit and I ordered one and had no issues with the threads on my lens. Of course, this is a thin thread to neatly attach the filter to the lens. So I spent about an hour on this today and there is a learning curve with this lens. First, the autofocus doesn't work with this lens. You zoom in on the subject, so your camera's autofocus is off. I switch the camera to manual focus
