I've burned a lot of discs and I always use IMGBurn to burn my DVDs and BD-Rs. I also know that it's best not to run other programs while recording. This batch of 50GB drives started well. The first 8 or 10 hard drives worked fine. So far, however, the next 5 have been coasters and IMGBurn has either abandoned them or tried to write an intro and get away with a media report. About 10 years ago I only use Pioneer brand writing instruments, and now I use an older BDR-206. With the BDR-206 I used Verbatim BD-R DL 6x, but while 4x can burn successfully every time (Windows 10's built-in burner), it still takes a long time to grind halfway when switching from level 0 to level 1 becomes. But around the time I bought it (2019), the reviews started pouring in with dark, dark words - too late to warn me. The reports from other users confirm that the quality of the discs currently sold is no longer high enough to be sold. They should be banned from selling on Amazon. See below: Using LG WH14NS40, writing continues, but all discs fail imgburn at 51% (Layer Tear), "Medium Error, Fatal L-EC Error" (see photo). The resulting disk files could not be read.
