Smells like plastic

Terrible product. It smells strongly of plastic and does not melt completely. You can still see translucent chunks even when the other ingredients are completely liquid. It cannot be a pure product. I had to throw away all the balms and lotions I made. Waste of time and product. I will request a refund.

Pros
  • Feels good
Cons
  • Not the best

These granules are falsely advertised as beeswax. The packaging says "Made in China" and the pellets are most likely synthetic. I commissioned them to make tea lights for my daughter's birthday party; However, when melted, the pellets did not smell like real beeswax and gave off a distinctly pungent odor. I've worked with beeswax before and this is definitely not it!

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Not bad

I doubt it's actually beeswax - and there's no way to tell!

Very disappointed and agree with other reviewers about weird smell (doesn't smell like real beeswax at all), wrong feel (real beeswax is slightly sticky/tacky) and looks like real beeswax, actually colored paraffin ( very shiny and hard). Revain doesn't list it, but the country of origin is China (I peeled the label back to the original label). I'm sorry, but I just don't think he's saying that. Maybe, but since I use beeswax for creams, lip balms, and body, I'm not risking it. Returned and…

Smells like paraffin wax, colored and advertised as beeswax

I'm pretty sure it's not real beeswax. I bought for low price and convenience but had to return. Smells like paraffin wax, colored and advertised as beeswax, no packaging label. unsuitable for me. I have worked in beehives and use real beeswax regularly and even after processing it has a very distinct sweet floral scent that has never been even hinted at. I don't normally leave negative reviews, but I will leave them for an obviously mis-advertised product.

Pros
  • Great material for Auromic candles
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Terrible Smell

I never write reviews but thought it would be worth saving someone else the headache and stress (when you need beeswax right now) to order this one. I wanted organic beeswax because I didn't want to add anything and I wanted it to smell like real beeswax. I've ordered from other companies in the past and I know how beeswax is supposed to smell - nice. It's not like that at all. The package itself smelled like cigarette smoke, and I figured it came from a smoking-allowed facility. Well, to my…

I doubt it's even beeswax.

I'm always looking for the best price and wanted to use this for making candles so it doesn't have to be premium. (I use a higher quality wax for my lotions and lip balms.) But this product can't be called beeswax, let alone organic or cosmetic. I don't care that the lozenges are not a uniform size. It's just easier to have lozenges than trying to cut a block (plus it was actually cheaper). But I can't imagine it's actually beeswax. At first, the "Made in China” label made me suspicious. Every…
