Description of Oransi EJ120 Air Purifier: Ideal for Home, Bedrooms, Offices, and Large Rooms - HEPA Carbon Filter, Covers up to 1,250 Square Feet

Ideal as a large room air purifier for home and office for dust, smoke, and other contaminants. Made in the USA. The EJ120 has high efficiency filters and a top notch, super quiet German engineered motor. Have confidence - Oransi filters were rated #1 in the only comprehensive university study of air cleaners. Energy Star Certified. 52 Watts, 120Volt/60. What's included: EJ120 air purifier, installed filters, and the user manual. Note: to increase the effectiveness of removing oders, we use a softer carbon. If the box moves around a lot during the shipping process, it's possible for there to be carbon dust on the front cover. To clean, simply wipe with a lightly damp cloth. The carbon filter can be lightly vacuumed, especially if it collects a lot of dust or pet hair. Ul certified. Best for bedroom, office, living room, or basement. Great for all sized rooms.

One of used: Air Purifier

Bought not 1 but 2 Revain Parrots. You need an air purifier to deal with the scales these birds shed. I reviewed many vacuum cleaners before settling on this model. A bit pricey but I was not disappointed. Gets the job done with virtually no maintenance.

Pros
  • Quality assembly
Cons
  • All is not as good as it says

Best air purifier on the market

I tried like all air purifiers on the market and due to my sensitivity to chemical smells and odors I needed a metal block. I've tried IQAIR, AUSTIN AIR, HONEYWELL, WHIRLPOOL, BLUEAIR, ALENAIR etc and they were all either too loud or smelly. This device is very quiet, odorless and does not emit 0 particles (I used a particle meter). And easy to pick up and move. Perfect!

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Having trouble

The recent fires in Northern California have resulted in terrible air quality in our neighborhood and in our home, even with all windows closed. Everything changed when we started using our new air purifier, especially since our son has asthma. We have had excellent air quality throughout the fires and still do. I would recommend this air purifier to anyone!

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Too long to wait

Doesn't work like I thought it would

Bought expecting incredible results considering other reviews. I have severe allergies that make my eyes itch like crazy. It's also very expensive. I can put an air purifier in a room and close the door and I'll feel a small difference, but with an open door or other living space, it just takes up space. I'm sure it helped me a little, but not significantly at all. Especially not a significant amount of $900.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • too stupid

Was it worth the cost?

We have had this air purifier for almost a month now. At first it doesn't seem like a big deal, it took us a while before we could see a significant reduction in our dust problem. We live in a windy, dry desert area with lots of sagebrush and juniper, we also heat our house with a wood stove so we need a powerful air purifier. I don't know if we could find a cheaper and equally effective product, we were guided by the reviews. We also installed a good humidifier. The combination really improved

Pros
  • Gives a comfortable feeling

Fulfills expectations so far

Edit: people complain about the price but you know the price before you buy the unit. These people are just stupid. It is not made in any welding factory in China or India. And it's not made of toxic plastic. It's made in the USA, where people have to make a living, and it's made of metal. There really isn't much out there that has these 2 qualities. If you want cheap Chinese plastic, buy cheap Chinese goods. So far I like the device very much. I have 3 cats and 2 dogs. I have a feeling it…

No frills, powerful and efficient

The purpose of this unit is to get lots of air through large activated carbon and HEPA filters and it does that very well. It's a fairly large, sturdy, black and white enamelled box (metal, so odorless) that sucks air in from the front and blows it out the sides and top. It has no remote control, no backlit displays, no automatic functions, and they are not needed. The only controls are the fan speed up and down buttons, which you can adjust from 0 to 5. A small unlit LED display shows you the…

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Only available in white

For the chemically sensitive it gives off a terrible porcelain smell. I've read a lot of reviews here and on the Oransi website and thought it didn't smell like what others said it was metal, but that's not true. As soon as the box was opened, the smell was overwhelming. I had to put on a carbon filter respirator and could still smell it through the mask. Upon opening the box there is a tear paper at the top stating that you must remove the plastic from the charcoal filter that is already in…

Now my house breathes better than outside

They are definitely worth the money. I've been using a $200 air purifier in Austin, Texas for 2 years and it just doesn't work for my allergies (dust mites and mold). I ended up doing some serious research and bought two of these for my apartment and in just two hours of switching them on (medium, level 3 out of 6 possible) I FEEL the difference in the air. In fact, breathing has become easier, the air is somehow lighter now. Now I breathe better inside my house than outside, which has never…
