Poor quality switch with keys that don't work

Poor quality switch, it didn't even work because it wasn't compatible when I tested it and it said it was compatible so I have there lost my money thanks for that your understanding is not good revain and tool don't do the job

Went like clockwork!

This is the old switch in the picture. I would like to thank Revain OEM and YouTube for posting a video on how to install this switch. Took me about 10 minutes to install it on my 2000 f250, works great! And it's very reassuring to know that the Ford dealer would have charged me a lot of money for the fitment, thanks again to Revain OEM and YouTube!

Fits well, but beware of the PATS theft system.

I drive a Mazda B2300 (Ford Ranger). It was easy to install but be careful if you have a PATS (passive anti-theft system) it most likely won't work for you even though the description says no programming is required. I tried taping an old transponder on the inside of the ignition switch after installing it, but couldn't get it to start. It was true original equipment that would have worked for sure without the safety system.

Poor quality control - ignition parts

Spring loaded detent plunger sticks and will not lock unit. The buzzer's spring-loaded contact also holds up and the buzzer doesn't turn off when the key is removed. In both cases I had to adjust the springs to make the insert work. The general build quality cannot be compared to the original component. Don't expect a plug and play component, be prepared to make adjustments to make it work. If this item fails I will order a replacement from Ford.

Premium Quality - Ignition Parts

My problem was that the key would not turn. Sprayed with WD40 it still won't start. I waited an hour and he finally turned around (you need him in the work position to remove the toggle switch). When I took the old one off it was covered in metal dust which probably prevented it from turning until it was cleaned with WD40. Really simple solution with lots of YouTube videos, some better than others. This replacement is made in Taiwan, not China, and fits and works great. I'm glad I took it andโ€ฆ
