Good product for what you pay

Obviously this thing isn't as reliable as Snap-On, but it costs five times less. I think for the average person who fixes ball joints once or twice a year this should be more than enough. It comes with a good selection of parts and parts, as well as an application manual so you don't have to guess which ones to use (which I've certainly shown on two occasions). The main clip isn't bulletproof, but it's good. enough to do it. I'd definitely use plenty of lube on the threads and at the various…

The adapters do not go directly into the C-clamp. Requires machining of C-Clamp adapter hole.

Tim tested this product on May 12, 2018 and gave it one star because the C-clamp and adapters could not be properly aligned during the pressing process. Well I tried pressing in a 2004 F-150 ball joint and found the same problem. I found the adapters and C-clamp to be quite strong overall (wish the threaded rod was heavier steel). However, the unthreaded hole in the C-clamp is simply shaped and not properly machined to accept adapters. Therefore, the adapter cannot sit flat in clamp C and…

Not one for a toolbox, but it gets the job done (maybe two).

The variety of receptacle cups and press bases is good and really helps when you need to get creative with the removal or installation process, but definitely consider it a one-time use. Your mileage may vary, but I removed and installed two ball joints and one of the cups failed (as pictured). 4 stars for ease of use because variety and a little intuition goes a long way, but some markings for sizes might well be that I didn't have to measure/look everything by eye. 5 stars for the value - a…
