This tool "STOUT "!

I use this tool to press on the driveshaft on the front axle to access the wheel hub bolts on a Chevrolet 4X4 pickup, otherwise I had nothing for the hub. This tool was overkill for the job, but in this situation it was the only one that worked. The Elevin LB has a very solid instrument.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • No performance

1998 Dodge 2500 CTD

Previously replaced and overhauled front block bearings on the Dodge 2500, this tool made the job a lot easier and justified the purchase. Tip: Apply penetrating oil/spray (PB Blaster) to both assemblies a week before disassembly; Also clean and coat the splines with anti-seize paste when installing.

Pros
  • Best in its Niche
Cons
  • Negative Impression

powerful integrated tool and hardware

great tool ,,,,BUT when working with rusty hubs you need more pressure than the press can apply to remove the hub, you can't just press the axle down The shaft itself pushes out the constant velocity joint to its full length, damaging the joints and anthers. If there was some sort of collar to keep the axle from being pushed out, so be it

Pros
  • lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • upgrades

This item is misrepresented!

I don't like being misled about a product. This puller should be supplied with a threaded pull rod as shown in the photos and also mentioned in reviews from previous customers. I paid significantly more for this puller assuming both parts would come. In the box I only had the base plate. Nobody will answer my complaint and admit that it is wrong. Never buy from this seller again! don't trust them

2006 Dodge Ram hub puller works great

It was an expensive tool and I hope I only have to use it once. I have to say it was worth it. I screwed the puller to the wheel studs and started tightening the screw. I managed to break the hub in half and leave part of it rusty in the knuckle. This tool WORKS! It took two hours to remove the rusted hub using a chisel, a 3-pound hammer and a heavy-duty screwdriver. half a turn and slammed it back together. He jumped out. It was just as rusty as the other side, but my technique had improvedโ€ฆ

Jog 2006 Dodge 4 X 4

I know there is a way to use a (mm) socket with a socket extension shaft and use the truck's power steering to wed (back and forth between the hub bolts) the front hub bearings. Maybe so, but I didn't want to risk using the above method alone when my front bearing hub was rusted. What can I say, the tool is worth the money. With the help of an impact wrench diver (big boy) and help from the BFH, the task was not child's play. When the puller shaft is lubricated and the tool is rotated with anโ€ฆ
