Works perfect! in Tools for power steering

I didn't have this type of puller in my collection so I couldn't remove the 1985 Ford F150 power steering pulley. I've tried using heated 2 and 3 jaw pullers but it tended to flex the pulley when I pushed forward so I stopped. After receiving the OTC puller, it took me 5 minutes to remove the pulley.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Minor Items

It's definitely the right tool for the job.

Required to tension the power steering pump pulley and alternator pulley on Chrysler products. Worth the price. I used a percussion gun and the pulley came loose from my 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee power steering pump. .Before use I lubricated the threads of the puller with oil and it worked like a watch. My puller was made in Taiwan and appears to be made of quality materials. I've tried tightening these pressed-on pulleys with 2 and 3-jaw pullers in the past to no avail. Don't waste time, use…

P/S Pump Pulley fits tools and equipment

This pulley removal and replacement tool is a must have in your Ford and GM tool kit. I have tried various power steering pump pulley pullers and only this one will pull the pulley off properly and the replacement is the only one that can re-tighten it for the applications listed. It's slow and tiring, but it keeps the pulley from breaking. It's well done and highly recommended. It's a shame that you and I have to buy special tools to get a simple job done, but if you want that job done…

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Not the best
