Great product and seller!

These OTC parts just work, period. I followed their supplied chart for my jeep and they fit and work like a charm - once I had a clear idea of them. The OTC quality is really fantastic. I'm not aware of the cheaper ball joint tool options, but what I can tell you is that these tools use a lot of torque and put a lot of pressure on when removing and installing, especially when removing rusted joints. Take a risk with a cheap tool, you are much safer with OTC. Plus they were sent to me on time…

Pros
  • Best in class
Cons
  • No paint required

Installation is just as easy, place the ball joint in the freezer.

Worth the money, replaced 4 ball joints on a 2011 Diesel Dodge in under an hour. The upper and lower parts can be easily removed. One of the bottom ones was a little stubborn as the bottom one bulged, the drive connector was a bit off center, but once it got under the chamfer on the axle housing, the game started. Installation is just as easy, put the ball joint in the freezer at least 24 hours beforehand, that helps a lot, but isn't necessary. The shock of this tool's sticker is a bit harsh…

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time

  • Hard to say

Are you kidding me?

OMG! That thing is a mammoth! It's really hard to tell how big it is from the pictures (*she said!*). You have to have a look at my other two cheaper ball joint kits (both bent, by the way). I've attached some photos so you can see. The OTC kit is on the left and on the right are 2 boxes of typical "Harbor Freight" style ball joint kits. In fact, one is from Harbor Freight and the blue box is from Princess Auto, which is just a Canadian version of the HF. In the other picture with the OTC box…

almost perfect, working,

excellent quality. Comes with excellent instructions for use. Bought this kit to replace the pivot pins on a Dodge Cummins 01 4x4 2500. Worked fine until I tried prying the bottom pivots out. The receiving cup is not quite correct. This will push the joint out, but not as smoothly as if the head were right. Sizes range from 1/16" to large. I recommend applying an anti-seize compound to the new joint. If it feels tight when you slide it in, slide it back out and start again. Don't try to force…
