Description of OTC Inner CV Joint Puller

Tool is available with fork only, C.V. joint slide hammer assembly or just the slide hammer extension. With this puller, the axle assembly is popped out of the transaxle without damage, thanks to the straight, even pull provided by the slide hammer. This tool pulls constant velocity joints on 1986-current Taurus/Sable.

I bought this to help remove the CV axles in a 2007 Lexus ES350. The hole in the pin puller that screws onto the slide hammer shank is not wide enough to bypass. CV axis. This tool is therefore fundamentally unsuitable for the intended purpose on this vehicle. This size is not listed in the product description, so order hoping the tool will fit. I highly recommend updating the product listing with this information so the buyer can make a more informed decision.

So far, so good. See how metal steps last over time.

Used it well today and it removed the part I needed from the car. It took several times to shift the weight of the hammer. All in all he did his job. I'll have to watch more than a year or so just to see how the threads hold up on it. I've had many tools say they're hardened steel and the threads never hold. The time will show. In terms of my experience, I pulled parts from my own car and junkyard, which means I was 16 years old. I've worked on every car I've owned. Grew up machinist and…

Excellent pickup. - Puller

I used this CV puller on a 2004 Intrepid. It worked. I tried crowbars, but after a few cuts in the soft aluminum housing of the gearbox, I gave up. It took several moves to remove the CV axis. I would recommend buying an extension cord with this puller. I could use the extension. I managed without one, but later ordered one. What happens is that the hammer needs room to slide and hits the stop again. It becomes more difficult when the unit is in the fender area and the suspension elements…

I will continue to remove them with this mount. I rarely walk in mud

I bought this to remove the axle cover on my 2016 Polaris RZR Turbo XP. I couldn't betray any of them. He was just too fat. I ordered OEMTOOLS 27058 Front Drive Axle Pulley and found it almost identical and a lot cheaper. I was hoping it would be a little thinner. I'll try sanding down one of them to make it thinner. For now I will continue to remove them with a pry bar like this Vaughan B215 15-Inch Long Original SuperBar. I don't walk in mud very much and had no problem getting them off with…

Very good quality tool

Purchased to remove the drive axle on my 2008 Nissan Rouge AWD. I live in New York and the salt used on the roads in winter causes the main axle bearing to get stuck in the main rotor mount. I've been hitting the CV axis with it for a long time, but it hasn't moved. I ended up removing the bracket and putting the whole thing in a hydraulic press. I was worried about applying pressure as it took a lot of pressure and heat to move. He uttered no more than a few loud thumps as he struggled all the
