Description of 🦡 Orthotex Knee Stabilizer Wrap with Spiral Stays, 5X-Large - OTC

Opens flat for easy application over injured, swollen or tender knees. Bilateral spiral stays offer moderate side-to-side support and stability, yet flex and extend naturally with the joint. Four-way stretch material provides even compression over all the anatomical prominences of the joint. Upper and lower hook-and-loop encircling straps maintain stabilizer in correct position; straps are adjustable and removable. Opening over back of knee minimizes binding, provides for additional wearing comfort. Breathable and comfortable for long term wear. Included stay-fresh microbial resistant treatment. Orthotex is an alternative to neoprene. Materials are completely latex-free. Measure around the bend of the knee. Available Sizes: X-Small (12-13 Inches), Small (13-14 Inches), Medium (14-15 Inches), Large (15-16 Inches), X-Large (16-17 Inches), 2X-Large (17-18 Inches), 3X-Large (18-19 Inches), 4X-Large (19-20 Inches), and 5X-Large (20-22 Inches).

Difficult to use with knee pads

I finally returned it. It's VERY difficult to use, with buckles, straps and velcro (and velcro sticks to everything!), and too difficult for a person living alone to put on without half an hour of production. Might be great for engineers (huh), or if you have someone who can help you - especially moving around the back of your thigh - it might not be a problem.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I should have read the reviews before purchasing.

Should have read the reviews before buying the product. The product fitted well but did not help keep the knee in a stable position. In fact, I was struggling to walk and my knee looked huge even though it wasn't swollen. And because it didn't hold up well, I had to tighten the straps so much that they started to hurt. Spring. I'm ashamed that I don't read reviews.

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • Empty

Good braces for the price but also large sizes

Braces are difficult to handle, they are usually bulky and not very comfortable. Now, this one is still a bit bulky, but it's easy to set up and stays in place remarkably - which is a big plus. It comes in plus sizes, which is great - no one size fits all - not with these types of braces. It works well value and is easy to clean and maintain.

Pros
  • Handy thing
Cons
  • So far so good

working to the best of my ability

I have very large thighs and small calves (large thigh, small shin). I ordered 5x as I knew I would need it to fit my approximately 29 inch hip. Surprisingly, this product is a bit big. I could probably buy 4x. I knew it wouldn't fit properly on the sole of my foot due to such a drastic difference in my foot size BUT I can still get it to work. I bought this item to get back into playing softball. You should wear a leg compression pad, knee compression pad, or something else on your knee to…
