NOT suitable for dogs

Didn't work at all! We sprayed the product as recommended and it DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. When my pup got to the spot we had sprayed we watched impatiently and were disappointed. Not only did she lick where we sprayed, but she also bit the bottle and then continued biting the furniture we were trying to protect.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • High Price

smells very good on dogs

and it's a large standard spray bottle. I gave it a 3 because although I didn't try it myself our dog thought it was delicious. which of course defeats the purpose. I thought it smelled nice and so did she because as soon as she smelled it she started licking it off the surface it was on. So as an anti-chew liquid, it wasn't for us. Maybe your dog is normal? ?

Definitely depends on the dog

Each spray seemed to have mixed reviews so I gave this one a try. This works on the skirt of the chair I was trying to protect. The stool is white, no stains. It's not spray and forget - I need to spray it once a day or so when my pup remembers she likes to attack him. But she does it less and less because she reminds herself that she hates the taste. First she licks it, then she realizes how bitter it is and looks for one of her toys. Works great for us but sounds like mixed results.

  • Great for a small home

Doesn't Work - Learning and Behavior Aid

So I have a 6 month old chihuahua puppy who loves to chew on his pee pads as soon as I put them down. I think that made her even more seductive to him. At first I sprayed it lightly, and when that didn't work I literally poured it all over him. Gave 2 stars for the overall product because it didn't do anything, but it came quickly, was easy to use, and not a bad price. gave 5 stars for the taste because he must have liked it very much. He ended up buying washable pee pads that he couldn't tear…

Don't waste money!

We have a 5 month old Golden Doodle named Annie who chews everything. There is an expensive carpet in our hallway that she is particularly fond of. She will lie down and pull the threads one by one. Neither solution worked so we bought this product based on the reviews. Well, I now realize that when you find any reviews you can't really believe it. I doused the carpet with this product and stood back to see the results. Not only did Annie keep chewing on the carpet, but she seemed to enjoy it…

I hate giving 1 star. But it just doesn't work!

Having used bitter apple spray with success in the past, I decided to give it a try. It was slightly cheaper than apple spray and had a two day delivery time, which was important for a new teething puppy. As soon as I got it I applied it to various chewed things but it didn't put the dog off at all! I applied, then repeated several times with no success. This only drew attention to the items that were gnawed on even more. I still have half the bottle and now it's just under the sink. As a…

Works as well as any bitter product we have used

Each of these bitter products (apple, cherry etc) are an imperfect deterrent at best. Some dogs are just too stubborn (cough, french bulldog puppy, cough) about bad taste to not stop them from chewing on the world. However, it works as well as anything we've used and is a lot cheaper than most. After trying a little on my finger, I can confirm that it tastes VERY unpleasant, but smells wonderful when used. Our pup tends to be put off if they've recently been given an intense and steady dose of…

Unless you want a liquid treat.

Do not buy! My dog literally licked the spray right out of the bottle when we sprayed it and started licking the object we sprayed on when she couldn't get straight out of the bottle. I mean she loved it. I think we can use it as a treat? If you want the product to work, get Grannick's Bitter Apple Spray. It's a bit more expensive but our dog is hard to stop from chewing/eating and won't even eat a treat/chew a bone if he accidentally lands on something it's been sprayed on. Or mix 2 parts ACV,

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Bought THREE different stop products, including this one (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00A2BSZZY - Bitter Cherry) and two others. None of them had any noticeable effect, other than lightening our wallets. We made the mistake of spraying the kitchen countertop a bit which landed on some gummy bears that fell out of the bag. My wife didn't like it at all! Regarding the inclusion of our 9 month old Frenchie. no bone. If it worked, this bitter cherry would be the cheapest of all the products…
