Potential size spoiled by silly design

This is my third pair of surgical gloves or mittens. I own and love their Southcamp five finger mitts and Highcamp three finger mittens, but I wanted regular mittens for those really cold days. They have one major advantage over all the other mittens that use five finger glove style liners - they have a matching fleece mitten liner to keep your fingers together and share warmth. So far I've worn them on ski days down to -11C and they've been warm enough without hand warmers. In addition, my…

Very good mittens, but not perfect.

Excellent mitten. Very good quality with all the features you could wish for. In practice, however, I don't care about the inner/outer glove system, as I thought. If you like photographing while hiking in winter, this review might help you. I have other mittens with a standard glove liner which makes them very comfortable for photography. Just throw out the mitten and you still have some protection from the extreme cold and still have good dexterity for holding the camera and taking photos. I…

Warm and extremely functional

This is the second pair of these mittens that I have ordered. I ordered medium the first time and they were too big for me so my teenage son was happy to keep them. The small fit me much better - it's unisex sizing so I think most women will fit the small. ADVANTAGES: There are two parts - shell and fleece lining. They can be worn together or separately. The earbuds are removable, so I don't understand the reviewer who wrote that they were too lumpy. There is velcro to avoid sticking. I had no…

Nice and warm but not perfect

I really like these mittens. They keep my hands warm in the cold, even in sleet. The shell kept moisture out and the insulation kept my hands from sweating. In fact, when I took them off, I noticed that my hands were sweaty. Still, my hands didn't get cold like other gloves or mittens where sweat cools off quickly. My only complaints are this: Fingers go. I have to move my hand and fingers a bit to get things to fit properly. 2) There are elastic drawstrings on the cuffs that are just too long.

Pros
  • 100% nylon
Cons
  • Long wait

Nice and versatile cold weather gloves

I bought these gloves for the waterproof case to pack over gloves for emergencies but was impressed with the overall product. The photos show both the shell and liners and just the shells folded under approx weight 1lb. The liner gloves were heavy polyester and weighed at least 200. The finger holes were awesome because when I was driving over rough terrain or snow it felt like I had to remove shells every few hundred yards to drink, set up gear, someone something help, take a picture etc. It…
