We bought a medium size for our 60 lb Dalmatian/Pit mix and it fits perfectly. She has a wide chest but is thin so the average size fits perfectly. Walking her was a nightmare (pull ups/lunges etc) so we decided to try a backpack and give her a job on the walks. That works great! I put water bottles and/or cans in my pockets and they tire quickly. She is more focused on the weight on her back and not as distracted by her surroundings. This is a great tool, especially if you don't have time to…

Pros
  • Same as always
Cons
  • Modern

I bought one of these backpacks about a year ago and I love it. Just bought a replacement part. 1) Perfect fit for my 50 lb dog. 2) Looks great 3) Easy to put on with just a few clips under the bust. I then tried the new/updated model of this backpack and was very disappointed that it was more difficult to put on. You either have to put the dog's head through a small loop (negative association for my dog to avoid the pack) or spend extra time on the loop, which also irritates him. I will only…

My rottweiler is 110 pounds and I love it.

I was afraid to buy this not knowing if it would fit my rottweiler. As it turned out, it suits her very well, there is room to grow. which I hope she doesn't. 110 pounds is fine with me. When we go shooting, she carries my spare ammo, and when we go hiking/camping, she can take her food, water bowl, some of her water, etc. Items like car keys and my cell phone. The reason it got 4 stars instead of a full 5 is because of its overall design. Zippers, seams, etc. It's not bad, it's pretty good…

Love it but an edition about dogs

Well I really like the packaging design. My 10 month old G Shep was growing his other backpack and wanted one with bigger pockets so I figured this one would be perfect. The pockets are nice and roomy (each holds 4 bottles of water). I bought it in size XL but I think size L would be big enough. I saw another comment about stitches unraveling but until yesterday there was no problem. He usually only walked around when he was dressed, but he trotted around the yard a couple of times, and sure…

Bought for hiking and camping with our pitbulls

We bought one of these many years ago from a local store and it was in very good condition so we decided to buy extra packs for hiking with multiple dogs. Ideal for burning off excess energy in energetic dogs. We pack chilled 20 ounce bottled water in backpacks to keep the dogs cool and a collapsible water bowl to keep them hydrated on our hikes. This is the perfect size for them to carry their food during primitive camping, as well as water and collapsible paraphernalia. We bought the medium…

Good for the price for dogs

We bought this for our Australian Shepherd. She is definitely a "worker" and loves to feel needed. Although the backpack scared her at first, she now tolerates it well. Be sure to use the size chart provided. Our Aussie lost weight steadily after a sudden dramatic weight gain (hypothyroidism - now under control) so I was concerned about which size to order. I ripped the tape measure apart to measure its circumference and it measures 30 inches. While we could probably order a large and it would…

Dog Tested, Dog Approved

Overall this product worked well for my 30kg Boxer/Husky. I was a bit nervous after reading some of the other reviews but still hope that like many products sometimes you pull out a short stick and end up with a defective item. I haven't drawn a short stick yet. This may be because I am using the product as intended and not doing things like tying the leash to the handle (not intentional). despite the mesh, but that happens whenever you put something on the dog or even yourself. Therefore, I do
