Not as good as the old OXO

I have had the original OXO salad bowl for many years and love it. When it finally broke down, I thought this new and improved version would be even better. No! i really hate this The greens don't get nearly as dry no matter how many times I turn them. The push button brake requires more pressure to stop rotation compared to the old OXO. After washing, the parts dry for a very long time in my dishwasher. And when I dropped the lid on the tiled floor, a large piece of wood broke. I'm still…

The plastic parts of the spinner will warp after approximately 10-15 uses

The plastic parts of the spinner wear out quickly. After about 10-15 uses, the plastic parts in the rotating mechanism fell apart. If you look at the parts you will see that the metal center post has just reshaped the plastic component until it is loose enough to fall off. Before the mechanism broke I thought it was a good spinner. The base is strong and stable. The basket is also stable and rotates well in the base. The lid fits well and is very comfortable to use. Almost useless in spinners

Those who value feng shui in the kitchen more than efficiency will like this elegant device. I'm a semi-professional athlete, and I couldn't crank this thing high enough to spill water out of greased zucchini. (This is a joke, so don't tell me the slingshot isn't made for zucchini.
