Great little cut for cakes!

Other reviews say this cake pan was quite thin but I didn't experience it. It is well made with ribbed edges and strong enough to cut through cakes and tarts. It didn't bow or bend when I cut. If you need to cut through a thick bundt cake or similar I would recommend a proper cake cutter, but for regular cakes and tarts this is perfect.

Cons
  • Hard to say

My favorite cutlery: Cake, tart and pastry server

I hate when I cut my first piece of cherry pie and when it reaches the plate it turns into cobblestones. And I hate the disappointed look of the recipient who now has a bowl of sweet porridge for dessert. I've used many commercial and homemade cake slicers/servers and never found a solution to avoid destroying the first slice. Until now. The OXO Pie Lifter is flexible enough to fit almost vertically behind the pie crust and flexes to move under the disc so it doesn't crush the crust. It is wide

Scratch Resistant Metal Tart Tin

Serrated edges are pleasant to the touch and good for softer crusts, but are almost useless for thicker pastries or pie crusts. The best thing about this OXO cookware is the Good Grips handle and most importantly the flexible material that allows the blade to get underneath without tearing the baked creation. Add to that the fact that it's inexpensive and won't scratch metal utensils and you've got a great addition to your baking arsenal.

Pros
  • Heat Resistant to 400°F
Cons
  • Not Safe

I like it very much

I'm old, okay? And this is the first cake server I've ever had. I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I LOVE IT I use this bad boy on all types of cakes. Even a pizza cake. The tip could have been a little firmer, but that seems a small price to pay for the amazing flexibility that allows this tool to get into hard-to-reach places. If the crust is hard or slightly overcooked, this tip has a slight penetrating problem, but that's only happened once with a chicken pie. I am very happy with this cake server and…

Pros
  • Soft, comfortable, non-slip grip, dishwasher safe
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Too flexible for my needs

I was looking for a flexible pie server for my chicken pies and found this Oxo Server at Revain. I actually wanted silicone but couldn't find a separate silicone cake spoon (only part of a utensil set) so I settled on this nylon spatula. In general I was disappointed. I haven't had any better luck with this flexible spatula than with a conventional spatula; Pot pie went everywhere. I think this server is TOO flexible (kinda unreliable) for what I want. This may work well for some products, but…

  • Serrated on both sides for ambidextrous use
