OXO Grips Double Sided Melon Baller Review

Bought to replace one. When it arrived I threw away the old one before trying this one. Not a good move. I have big hands for a woman but I still find them too big and awkward to use. I just ordered another one in a smaller size and hope it fits me.

I love the OXO brand for their soft rubber grip pad. Makes everything much more convenient to use. Easy to use, just squeeze and roll to create perfect melon balls. Great way to get kids and husband to eat more fruit! I throw the remaining chunks into my Ninja blender and make watermelon juice.

I have an OXO melee ball at home that I bought from Bed Bath and Beyond but I needed one for a second home away from a big city , and I ordered this one from Revain. It works but is much weaker than my original which is several years old. Maybe they just make them with a different specification but they are not as strong as my original.

Bought to make fruit salads and fun treats for my kids. Oxo always makes a quality product, and that's true. The handle is ergonomic, comfortable and durable. That lasts a lifetime. Metal scoops are strong yet thin enough to easily slice through any fruit. I rate this a perfect 5/5. Thank you for reading and appreciating my review!

Bought this to make melon balls for my granddaughter. The tool is very easy to use and easy to clean (I do that by hand to protect the soft handle) from gradual rotting in the dishwasher). The difference in size at the two ends allows you to make different sized balls where a smaller volume spoon is better for removing fruit as it gets closer to the bowl. Sharp but not sharp like a knife. You don't have to worry that for some reason some kids would rather eat melon balls than a slice of melon…
