I use these in 36 bow front mixed reef aquariums and they work great. Rinse it weekly and replace it with a new one every 2 months.

I didn't like the advertised image. I thought I would get 3 boxes but I got 3 foams in 1 box. But the product meets my expectations.

The AquaClear filter is the best on the market, but the accessories are a bit expensive. the rest on the market. You want to change your sponge every 2 months, but that will kill the good bacteria. I kept mine for about 1 year before it became too gross to use. You can clean it, but ONLY by rinsing with water from the tank. When I change the water, I rinse the sponge in one of the last buckets of water—about once a month. I also cut off pieces to run a new tank without having to cycle it…
