Yes NOT what I expected. They do NOT look like OEM. I accidentally bought them thinking they were IM filter socks. As soon as I opened the package I noticed the texture was SIMPLY wrong and with the FIRST wash they agreed with me. Fluffy cotton. You get what you pay for. My recommendation: get IM instead; unless you want to get a use or two out of it.

I have added them to my subscription and saved them. I have a nuvo IM10 and it fits perfectly. I try to change them once or twice a week. Since the reservoir and return area are very small, any change in flow rate can affect the ATO and therefore the salinity. As the filter sock gets dirty, the flow will decrease, so it's important to change it often. The stitching looks good enough to be washable, but I'll admit I didn't try.

I'm a bit disappointed with this product. Unlike the original equipment, it is a kind of fluffy felt material. Everything is fine with the filter action, they are put in the aquarium normally (Nuvo 20), but they cannot be washed. I usually put my socks in the washing machine for a quick wash without detergent and they come out like new. Instead, these socks were frayed and bunched up, and one even had large holes in the fabric. You get what you pay for, treat them as disposable or hand wash…
