Described as blue but bright green

. They arrived on time and were well packaged. However, they glow green instead of blue. I bought the blue one so my porch could shine on 9/11. It's too weak. I'm not sure if it's the performance or the brand.

Pros
  • Creates a fun atmosphere in shops, restaurants and even the home. Show your support for Autism Awareness or the Uniformed Police with these Blue Lanterns
Cons
  • Doubtful

Not very blue bulbs

I ordered these because they were cheap and I realized the bulb doesn't have to be too fancy to do the job. But those bulbs just weren't very blue. I went and bought the more expensive ones from Home Depot and they were a lot stronger and a lot bluer.

Pros
  • pack of 4 bulbs
Cons
  • boring pack

True blue, but not a safe source of light

The whole town displayed them as a mark of respect and remembrance for the beloved officer we lost. Has the effect we were looking for but at the end of the day it was very difficult to maneuver safely to where light is really needed. Yes, the color is true blue, so that's what the symbol was judged to be. But the brightness could definitely be improved with higher power or something.

Pros
  • A19 Ceramic Colored Bulb 25W
Cons
  • Nothing Here

Working but not recommended

This is normal. I see people talking about the wrong color of blue. We have used them in the attic (as well as in our TV room) for some basic lighting - the blue paint scratches easily. One arrived scratched. They were cheap so I bought them. Because how often are we in the attic/TV room, which means they do their job once every few months. Although I wouldn't recommend it.

Pros
  • Long life - fits most 120V lights
Cons
  • Weak

Potentially hazardous

Thought I had found the right bulb but apparently not. While these bulbs give you the supposedly correct blue that we remember from the old days, they get very hot. Outside in a carriage lamp, which can't be a problem, or in a glass covered lamp in your home, even with a large lampshade that makes a good separation from the bulb! But smaller lamps, with the lampshade attached to a bulb or in a fixture attached to the furniture, and god knows if they're not all made of wood like mine, could you…

Pros
  • Has a US standard (E26) - 130V socket
Cons
  • old
