Printer paper would be just as good

I like Pacon Manila drawing paper which weighs 56 pounds and is lighter than most drawing paper. I mistakenly assumed that this "lightweight drawing paper" would be the same but in white. I was so wrong! It's almost as thin and "toothless" (smooth) as regular carbon paper) and costs half the price of Manilla. Better use cheap printer paper, Pacona Manilla, or, although I haven't tried it, Sax Sulfite Drawing Paper, 70 lbs ($13.40 for 500 sheets).

Pros
  • 500 sheets 9" x 12"
Cons
  • I don't remember

Heavy paper is really good

I ordered 18" x 24" heavy paper and it's really good. The paper is thick and strong. The use of markers such as B. Marker, results in minimal or no bleeding. The paper has a different texture on each side. The tooth is larger on one side and more even on the other. I also tried my hand at watercolor painting on paper. This works for quick illustrations, although there is some distortion. Acrylic ink works very well. The paper is thicker and better quality than the Startmore 300 series notebook:

Pros
  • Light paper with medium tooth finish
Cons
  • Older model

is too easy for my drawing needs, especially when coloring with markers. I understand that there is a special marker paper, but I'm an artist on a budget and I need a paper where I can get it at an affordable price, so I mostly buy paper from Revain here as they generally have the best prices have for paper. Light weight can be good for quick drawing on the go and quick use of color with crayons until you can redraw or transfer to a computer for digital rendering. However, don't expect to apply

Pros
  • White Color
Cons
  • Short Guide
