Worth buying!

I admit I buy these fiber optic patch cords and their associated connectors with some trepidation as I don't expect them to perform as advertised. However, I was so wrong. I've had to move my Telco's ONT from its original configuration to a 6-8 rack card and I've never seen anything else perform perfectly. I have a 600MB upload scheme and I get that and sometimes more. Check out the photo for yourself!

So Far So Good: Wires and Connections

A dog managed to snap a wire installed by AT&T between a box in front of my house and an outlet inside my house. I spent about an hour going through the maze of robot operators to finally get a live human, and then was put on hold when I asked a technician to come and fix it. I took the time to figure out what the cable was and saw "SC" on both ends. A quick search on Revain and I found this. I decided to give him a chance and hung up. It arrived in 3 days, I installed it myself and it works…

My pet chewed on my fiber optic cable and was having a hard time figuring out 1.) which cable it was 2.) if I could replace it myself and 3.) where could I buy something like that. After misguided advice from several fios staff (they said the cable was built into the ONT box and only a technician had the tools to change the fiber) I found that all I had to find was SC- Fiber to SC-APC was. optical cable. Once I received the cable I ordered, all I had to do was unplug the old one and plug this…

So far so good with audio cables

  • Unbelievable price

We ordered these for a project. They sat on the shelf for three weeks before we used them only to find many problems with the optics. Support number could not be found. The VFL (Visual Fault Indicator) indicated that the fiber was live at many points in the pigtails. No specifications could be found to determine which company made the glass and whether it was G.652 or G.657, A1 or A2. The glass is of poor quality or has not been treated well during production. The braids glowed like Christmas…

I've been working on fiber optic cabling for a while

I bought this to move my ATT gateway away from the fiber optic outlet in my house as the remaining ATT wasn't long enough. It worked right away, was fine for a month, and then bam, it died completely. Internet down, gateway down, diagnostics show fiber optic problem. I kept the original ATT fiber optic cable in my tech box after arranging a meeting with ATT so they could get out my kids would lose them without a network so on a whim I dug up the ATT cable and put it back out of the pulled…
