A use has destroyed it.

would be better without email. I've used this ONCE on a propane camp stove under a mason jar; The enamel warped, chipped, and formed sharp edges (ask me how I know they're sharp). It worked normally but now it is dangerous to handle.

If you need heat in the middle of the pot, this is your baby

I have a gas stove. You can have your choice of hotspots in a circle where the flame meets the pan, or you can use this and have the hotspot in the center. When the pan reached 430 degrees, the surrounding area was more than 30 degrees colder. I'll post a photo, the flour sifted into the pan and the burned spot was right in the middle.

Durable and Efficient Cast Iron Diffuser

I ordered a diffuser so I can safely maintain the temperature of the glass jug while pouring coffee while brewing. We have a gas stove. The diffuser is heavy with a serrated bottom so it sits on the grate and stays there. I use a piece of bent wire at the top for the carafe. We've also used it to cook soups and stews and it works as advertised, minimizing sticking to the bottom of the pot. The porcelain glaze plate is easy to clean and the handle is easy to remove and stays cool when attached.

That thing is the bomb!

I have a gas hob that will burn no matter how low the flame is on one of the burners which drives me crazy when I really want to simmer something. This thermal diffuser has really solved this problem. It attaches securely to the burner grate and is very stable when installed correctly. It comes with a small handle to move it from burner to burner when the diffuser plate is hot, or when placing the diffuser on top of a burner that's already on, which helps make up for my occasional lack of…

Very helpful. I wish I had bought it sooner.

I have a DCS gas range with large burners. I think they are 14000 or 16000 btu. Each burner has a boiling level and the flame is fairly weak. However, after a few minutes of cooking, it still starts cooking at a speed that is too high for me. It doesn't matter if I use stainless, enameled iron or cast iron, I couldn't get a nice slow cook. With this diffuser I can set the burner to a slow simmer and get a very nice soft simmer throughout the pan. A small pen is also good. There is a ring on the

This diffuser expands the heating area and eliminates hot spots.

Our gas stove works great and we can regulate the heat very well. Gas burners and our enamelled cast iron fire bowls are a perfect match. But. When we cook apples for applesauce and fruit peels; beans for everything; pumpkins and other winter squash for pies and soups; Tomatoes for sauce and soup - we like this lowest flame to extend under the bottoms of the pots for very mild heat. This diffuser does not reduce heat; it distributes heat over a large area. In other words, it reduces the hot…
