I have a PhD so I'm no idiot but I couldn't get this thing to work. The way the veg sits on the gripper puts it ABOVE the cutter which means the veg has to keep rotating in the cutter so there are never long cuts just short little pieces that spit out. I bought this because my other pasta - "pencil sharpener" / manual - was causing pain in my elbow. This one is effortless in comparison. It doesn't take up much countertop space, but I often make vegetable pasta these days, so I don't mind removing it. I've used this 5-6 times and plan on continuing. I have a Spiralizer cookbook, otherwise I wouldn't know how to use this tool effectively. There are 6 blades - too many I think as some of them are just thin/thicker versions. Neither blade is marked, so there's no quick reference to tell them apart. And there are only pictures/links on the outside of the box to clarify the different blades. No sensible place after you unpack the tool! I took a zucchini and used each plate to see the differences.
