Excellent DVD player for beginners

Since I don't have a digital receiver, I decided to buy a cheap DVD player. I did a little research for a DCD player to buy a Sony S360 (a friend of mine has one). We watched movies on it together and it was so much better than my computer DVD that I had to buy it. *++Then I found out that Sony makes a strange spinning noise when playing games. The sound continues throughout the film and can be heard when the film's audio track is quiet.*++ For this reason, and because I wanted to be differentโ€ฆ

Best DVD Player Under $250

I did extensive research on several DVD players from the usual suspects - Sony, Panasonic, Toshiba, Pioneer - before settling on this Panasonic. There were many reasons why I chose this particular one and I will try to outline them below. First of all, this DVD player is either the best or one of the best in all important technical characteristics - picture resolution, dynamic range, signal-to-noise ratio, etc. Second, the picture and sound quality of this DVD player is simply stunning - Thisโ€ฆ

Excellent quality, excellent price

Well, first let me say that I'm not an electronics guru so I can't explain all the features of this player to you. But I can tell you what a great player he is. We chose a DVD player because I feel like it's the same as CDs are for music. Plain and simple, I was looking for more clarity. We have a digital satellite system and when we first got it I noticed a huge visual difference from cable. I've also found that VHS tapes just don't deliver the same quality as when we watch satellite TV. Weโ€ฆ

What theft! - TV & Video

I finally decided to buy a DVD player a few days before Christmas after buying my parents a Sony DAV-S300 DVD home theater system (great for people who only have a TV and a portable radio). I wish I had made my decision by December 19th and Revain would pay for my shipping too. I shopped 2 days in a row, checked prices and read tons of reviews. In many places this player was not available. RV30 is a great deal. I wanted my first DVD player in a few years to be contemporary and also haveโ€ฆ

The best DVD player in its class!

I've had a DVD-ROM drive since it was first introduced three years ago. I thought DVD-ROM was the standard medium by now, but apparently I was wrong. The picture is very poor and the movies on the player look like a slide show! So I decided to get a DVD player. I've been looking for a suitable player for several months. I researched models from Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba and Pioneer. I wanted to buy a player for around $250 that only played one disc (I don't need a multi-disc model) andโ€ฆ
