Panasonic RGS0008 Mat Review

This mat greatly improves friction and significantly reduces motor noise on my Audio Technica AT-LP120 turntable. This is a big improvement over the felt mat that came with it.

Of course in standard size. But it's ideal because it's thick enough to protect well and light enough that my turntable doesn't strain when I try to flip it. many carpets. beautiful and protective, but so heavy your turntable can barely spin.

This rug is very thick and dense, making it superior to a standard felt rug. Thanks to its rubber coating, it offers a better grip on the records and makes it easier to clean the upper side, as it does not slip when force is applied. I can't tell if the sound improved drastically or anything, but since this mat is much thicker than the standard mat, I had to adjust the arm height and pickup while doing it. I really think that little rumble you get off the deck has been reduced with this mat.

It hasn't arrived yet but I have them on two other SL 1200's and they are fantastic. When they let me walk around with a felt rug, I felt cheated. I wanted a rubber mat like my original SL 1200. My SL 1200 MK5 didn't have that. The mat I got with my original 1200 is thick, absorbs shock and static and feels so good. It's not tied to my albums and I just feel better about it. I look forward to it from Revain's source. I have no idea how they got it as Technics has been out of business for years…
