Good machine, smaller than you think, ZERO BASS.

Hello! You must also have read the other reviews. You've searched and agonized over the choice of soundbar. Maybe you're a middle-aged geek who doesn't care about price as much as it did when you were young. I'm that guy and I wanted something that would replace my Audioengine A5+ (which died) and have a slightly fuller sound while having a subwoofer, albeit a tiny one. To be fair I'm a bit of a stereo snobbish and I'm pretty good with high end stereos. First, the device is SMALL, much smaller…

Big sound in a small package, a bit pricey for the quality.

Developed with the Final Fantasy XIV audio team, the soundbar was basically made especially for me and I had to try it. It's fairly small, has decent bass response, and the cinema setting is good for watching movies. I installed it in a large room to replace a cheap TV soundbar in the living room and it's probably more like how it's advertised: a sound system for the PC gamer. The 3D surround effect isn't like a real 5.1 system, but it sounds "wider". The different game modes give a decent…

Panasonic support is terrible

So I've been going back and forth with Panasonic Support for 2 weeks now. My problem is that I have to use HDMI to connect to the PC (I bought an optical cable with a headphone jack and it didn't work, but it's not Panasonic's fault). Well, some apps, including full-screen apps, don't respect the primary monitor setting and get stuck when rendering on the 1080p virtual monitor that Soundslayer creates. The only way to get these applications is to disable the soundslayer, let Windows recalibrate

Impressed with the performance when connected to the Xbox Series X

For weeks I've been looking for something to use for my new Xbox Series X in my home office for superior sound that's more compact than the Logitech 5.1 is setup I used. Since the Series X dropped the optical output, I needed something that would work as an HDMI pass-through connector that would output both 4K video and decent audio. Dolby Atmos would be a plus but not a must. I bought an HDMI adapter with an optical output, but it just didn't work. We continued to experience video artifacts or

Go to Optical: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

After using the same studio bookshelf speakers and Soundblaster card for over 10 years, I decided it was finally time to step up to something more than just switching to stereo. I was looking at actual TV soundbars but at the last minute got these instead. I first connected it to my graphics card via HDMI using the Nvidia audio drivers. The sound was, yes, good. Some speakers sounded good, but the bottom end clearly lacked depth and bass. It also introduced some graphical lag, and there was a…

Finally a Dolby Atmos all-in-one desktop soundbar!

I love this speaker! By adding an HDMI 2.0 hub I can connect my PS4 Pro PC and Switch dock to this soundbar, it works perfectly! Leave 3D Surround on and the soundstage will be amazing! Please also turn off the auto power off function to avoid trouble! PC: Install Dolby Access app to enable Dolby Atmos (free, app only paid if you use Atmos for headphones), Netflix and PC games sound great. PS4 Pro: Select HDMI and LPCM audio format to be able to output 7.1 lossless audio to the soundbar, games…

An upgrade from the main speakers, but that's about it.

I've had this speaker for a week and a half now so I'm sure I have enough experience with it to give a thoughtful review. Actual numerical ratings are listed below in the TL section. DR. As someone who has been playing FFXIV for many years, I have a habit of wanting things branded XIV, so these Sound Slayers are no exception. Although the price was indeed quite high, the reason I made this purchase was that I wanted to replace my $20 bricks with a better, more sophisticated sound system. The…
