Frustrating for Mac users

For Windows users this might be the best option. If you're just trying to replace your internal network card, this might also be a good option. At work I'm sometimes limited to one connection (or even on the go) and need the ability to use my Mac as a hotspot. First, the setup docs for Mac could be a bit better. I found that I had to restart several times. Then, when I didn't want to use Panda, I had trouble binding my iPad to my Mac Book (got an error message that Panda driver doesn't allowโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Works with any g/n 2.4GHz wireless router
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Good price and performance with Win 10

After upgrading to Win 10, my Dell XPS laptop became unreliable on my home network. I believe the network card drivers are to blame as Dell has stopped supporting updates for my particular laptop model. So I chose the Panda USB as it is inexpensive and belongs to the limited subset of these products that support Win 10 by default. And according to them, the device is fully PnP. I just plugged it in and just followed the quick setup instructions (I didn't install the Panda drivers from the CDโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Supports both infrastructure and ad hoc modes
Cons
  • Concise instructions

This Panda N wireless USB adapter has been described as plug-n-play and fully compatible with Linux. I plugged this adapter into the USB socket and in a moment the system (Linux MINT 17) proudly announced numerous WiFi IDs asking which one I would like to connect to. I entered the security key and this cutie has been working fine ever since. I figured I might need to provide an initial wired connection for Linux to load the correct driver, but this Panda adapter worked right out of the box. Noโ€ฆ

Pros
  • max WiFi connection speed: 300Mbps
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
