DO NOT BUY: Doesn't draw straight lines

Everything about this line is good except that you can't draw a straight line with it, which defeats its purpose. Numbers and incremental marks are printed in bold ink and flow to the edge of the ruler. At first sight it is not noticeable. However, with use, you'll find that these raised edges create a lot of small bumps when you run the stylus over them. The result is a very uneven line. This seems like a minor issue, except given the limited goals of the line and the job not even done…

Not used in measurement and layout tools

I've been using T-squares since my freshman year (1959) in university architecture classes. Over the years I've stopped using any drawing boards and T-squares, but have continued to use the 12 inch plastic stock for my home projects, including boards for measuring measured distances and right angle marking. It was just cheap hard plastic, probably bought many years ago for less than a dollar. It broke and I was looking for a replacement. These purchased T-Squares were my hope for a replacement.

Be careful, the ink on the ruler will leave marks on the paper.

I purchased this set of acrylic T-Squares for an adult illustration workshop that I taught. They arrived quickly and in great shape! Each ruler comes with a clear plastic case which I usually keep them in. The numbers are quite large, making them easier to read. However, the ink used to print the gauge marks is on the back. It is lifted and touches the paper, leaving considerable black dust on the surface of the paper. At first I thought my paper was stained with graphite. I had to erase the…
