I have attached the box to the outside of my cage. The front screw over your nest box entrance was very difficult to tighten. Not enough room for my hand to get into the box to tighten the screw, I managed but it was very difficult. I keep the boxes outside of the cage or they'll rip the wood to shreds. It's well done.
