1937 Ford Application

The filler neck to gas tank connection is an unusual installation on early 1937 Ford vehicles. To do this, unscrew the sleeve on the filler neck which is bolted to the gas tank itself. When removing this hose to carefully remove the gas tank from the car, this tool was invaluable. It hooks perfectly into the sleeve openings and is compact enough to work in tight spaces. The right tool to remove BB-7700

This tool was perfect for my needs as I was removing BB-7700 which was used on the dura for a short time in the late 90's/early 00's-X. The single and triple pin ends seat properly in the locking rings on either side of the bottom bracket. Although I have large channel locks and a vise, I think using them would damage my frame and potentially chew the ring to the point where I would have a serious problem. Worth $15 to get the job done right in minutes! I installed the BB-5500 which is a bit…

Anyway this is a good quality tool

I regularly use Lifecore Assault Air bikes at my gym, we have 20 of these and I needed a tool to remove the bottom bracket lock ring and it did does its job perfectly. Why 4 stars and not 5? Price! For a simple piece of metal that has grooves cut into it, you would expect it to cost a lot less. But then again, park instruments are always expensive. Anyway, it's a good quality tool, it does the job and I'm happy with it. If you are planning on using it on a bike I would suggest you take a look…

It's not your father's wrench, son.

It's not the easiest tool to use, but it probably won't be the most used tool in your arsenal. In other words, this tool is for people who really know what they are doing with it. This is a bike specialist's tool dedicated to loosening bottom bracket assemblies and is not intended for the less knowledgeable average cyclist looking to save a buck or two by doing repairs at home. This tool will most likely slip off the first time you try to use it, and there's a good chance you'll snap a few…
