The plastic adapter is poorly made.

The metal tool itself works well, but the plastic adapter's outer teeth do not fit the tool. I had to use a hammer to partially insert it, but there was no way to push it all the way in, and it may be too damaged to use again.

Pros
  • Highly rated by testers for support and durability
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not for rotors with QR end caps

Unfortunately the seat is too flat for use on rotors with a larger quick release end cap. Works on my thru-axle bike where the rotor is flush with the end cap and bottom brackets, but if your end cap is sticking out from behind the rotor it won't be clear.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Small parts

as the park's other bottom bracket tools were great.

I have another parking tool for smaller diameter slides. For some reason this one doesn't quite fit the teeth properly unless you really apply force to it and it will definitely damage the bottom bracket finish, but functionally it will work after you press it against the body. Not sure if that's an issue with this guy as the other cart tools at the park were great.

Ideal for installing a Shimano Center Lock brake disc!

I bought this to tighten the locking ring on my 15mm thru-axle front wheel. Some locking rings (rear or front with 9mm eccentric) may require a cassette locking ring tool, so make sure you buy the right ones. Here's what you need for a different size. They also make one for 12mm thru axles but I used the one at this link for my 12mm thru axle and it works great. Park Tool Rotor Cassette/Locking Ring Remover - FR-5/FR-5G

Pros
  • Hands-free operation
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...

Funny Teeth at Shop Tools

The Park Tool teeth have a different shape than the original Shimano TL-FC33 version. The round plastic adapter that comes with the new Shimano BB-R60 Ultegra 6800 (and Dura-Ace) bottom bracket will not fit the Park Tool version, even if you try pounding it with a rubber mallet. So I highly recommend getting a genuine Shimano version instead so you have a tool that can work with Shimano plastic adapters. Note that Shimano has a 1/2" drivetrain and not a 3/8" drivetrain for the Park Tool.

  • Price
Cons
  • Doubtful

Will not work with Wheels Mfg BSA external bottom brackets (e.g. BB-MTB-7)

Park Tool claims that BBT-19.2 (this product) with bottom brackets from "Wheels" [Mfg] is working. Not as much. I have Wheels Manufacturing BB-MTB-7 "THREADED MTB ABEC-3 BB FOR 24/22MM CRANKS (SRAM)" and this tool is not working. I also have a Park Tool BBT-69 that doesn't work. The only tool I have that works with a bottom bracket is the Park Tool BBT-9. My problem is that my mountain bike's swingarm is too close to the bottom bracket and therefore needs to be removed to use the BBT-9 tool. I…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance

  • I vaguely remember
