As advertised: Cycling

Worked on installing an FSA bottom bracket which will allow the BB386 cranks to fit into a frame with a 68mm bottom bracket shell. The larger of the ends was required since they didn't use the more standard, smaller bottom bracket tool.

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Wrinkled Pack

Making 48.5mm wheels 👍

I bought new wheels to make a BSA30 threaded bottom bracket and it required a different size bottom bracket wrench (48.5mm) so have I ordered this parking tool. Fit perfectly and worked like clockwork. Great price and arrived quickly.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Empty

Tough and capable for cycling

I already had a BBT-9 but needed a solid tool for a different HollowTech II bottom bracket size. This is very powerful and works great for those stuck on the caret. Between this tool and the BBT-9 I can remove the Hollow Tech II bottom brackets. I don't understand why all HollowTech II bottom brackets are not the same size. but this one is awesome!

Pros
  • Tough construction
Cons
  • Hard to say

Nearly Perfect for Sports

The park does good and this is no exception. This is the right tool to mount bottom bracket shells with 30mm thread. As another reviewer noted, it could have been a bit thicker - if I were designing this tool, the big end would look more like a socket than a flat wrench. However, it is well made and will not slip if you use it carefully.

Pros
  • Outstanding Overall
Cons
  • Some Difficulty

Good thing, but didn't work for me.

I bought this to tighten the bottom bracket that came with my Shimano 105 R7000 setup. Although the size seemed to fit, it didn't. Although the instrument appears to be of high quality. I don't quite understand the dimensions of the bottom bracket and how to get them to work. Anyway, I just got an Ultegra BB from a friend and borrowed the right tool from him to tighten it up. Note: This tool is also not suitable for Ultegra BB. Perhaps Park Tool can offer a guide or diagram on which tool to use

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Bought a bike with really weird bottom bracket requirements and ended up needing this tool (or something similar). While it did the job I had to use an outlet, or at least something with much narrower shoulders around the 48.5mm side. Your bike must have a large and perfectly flat bottom bracket area to avoid pinching. And a head could be put on a torque wrench. This guy maximizes your chances of wrecking the bike without providing feedback, with plenty of room for it to slide off completely…

Pros
  • Easy install
Cons
  • Bad experience
