It works great, read the instructions

Only one day, but it works well. I will update my review if anything changes. I compared the pressure gauge to a high precision digital pressure gauge that I have. At 40 psi the pump gauge will read 35. At 60 psi the pump gauge will read 55. Not perfect, but not bad. I was skeptical about purchasing after reading reviews of broken Prestas. If you rip off Presta, you are using it incorrectly. Read the instructions, the valve is blocked when the lever is parallel to the valve, the levers of some…

Expected more from Park Tool.

PFP-8 builds good pressure but doesn't match the Presta valve well. Once you believe it is and give it a pump, the gauge will jump to 70psi and you'll have to try again. And again. It will probably take me three or four tries to push it against the valve, lift it back onto the valve, and so on before I can finally connect it. A pressure gauge is useful if you're blowing a road bike and need high pressure, but if you're a motorcyclist and need to know your pressure in the 18-30psi range, it's…

Don't Buy This - Sport

I have been using Park Tools for many years. Without thinking about it, I just buy their stuff when I need something. I have never had any problems with the quality of their items. It's the Park Tool, right? Stop! Don't buy this. This is complete rubbish. Made out of plastic (even the base), Presta valve tips will snap, and a cheap gauge will be off by about 15psi. Moral of the story: This is Park's "branded product" but only the brand, it's not their regular quality "tool". It's a cheaply…

High quality from Park, solid construction, accurate readings

As always, Park Tools never let you down. This floor pump is built fairly solidly, provides accurate readings and inflation (compared to other floor pumps and digital gauges) and comes in a beautiful shade of blue. You can buy cheaper products from other brands, but often you will be disappointed. Buy anything from Park Tools and you'll probably have it for as long as you ride your bike (my dad has a bunch of tools from over 20 years ago and they're still just as functional as they used to be).

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Some bugs

Expensive for no reason.

While the build quality is good, that's about it. Not to say it won't last long, but when I'm paying over $40 for a basic floor pump, I expect all functions to work properly. The sensor in the base isn't worth the junk. Its at least 15 pounds. I have verified this with various digital and analog gauges. I ordered a replacement and like the first one the sensor didn't work properly. The second was £10 cheaper. Your money would be better spent buying a good digital pressure gauge and cheap pump…

Lost trust in this company

Semi-useful junk. While it does actually pump air into the tire (any product at Walmart can do this), the pressure gauge doesn't work. It's a nice big number display that catches the eye when you buy it, but doesn't really work when you use it. Yes, shame on the park for the marketing ploy. I was recommended to try Park and will happily recommend me to any other reliable company from now on. For example, if you search for this product, it says "currently unavailable". That's right, like so many
