🔩 Park Tool MB-1 Magnetic Parts Bowl: An Organizational Solution for Every DIY Enthusiast Review

Excellent magnetic computer shell, SSD, tiny M.2 screws. Poorly. Poorly. The company has placed a logo or image in the center of the bowl, making it very difficult to see the tiny screws. I almost sent it back because of this PROBLEM, but for the cheap price I paid I will keep it. I have to use the flash to see my tiny screws. Poorly. There is no need for advertising or art in the center of the bowl.

I don't know what I did before! Actually I know. I spent a lot of time crawling on the floor looking for loose screws. I use this to work with my bikes, my car and computers. The only thing I can think of to improve this would be if it were bigger and had some sort of internal delimiter. So you can use it for a wider variety of jobs and use each section to identify parts that have been removed at that stage.

As with most other park tools, the fit and finish of this product is excellent. The magnet is very strong, you won't knock it over. If you happen to install it on a non-ferrous metal surface and knock it off, you can be sure the nuts and bolts will stay in the bowl. I even drop my pocket multi tool in to hold it. Every workshop needs a quality magnetic bowl. The last thing you want is to lose a small detail or ruin your project. This is a high quality bowl --- yes. Park Tool is a premium brand with a premium price, so it's fair to expect a premium product. In this case, the Park Tool really let me down. The paint color is great, but the result is terrible. There are a few streaks on the paint and burrs on the edges sharp enough to cut leather. Doesn't look like the quality in the photo.
