The carburetor works perfectly. Remember to empty the float chamber each time you store it by loosening the silver screw at the bottom to remove excess gas.

I bought this carburetor to replace a hopelessly stuck carburetor on my Oman 4000 RV generator set. It was identical to the OEM block and came with different gaskets. Easy to install, plug and play, or would it be if I didn't install it in my RV with a generator. That makes it a bit tricky. The trick is to glue the gaskets to the carburetor or air intake using caulk or a dab of superglue and a second pair of hands to hold the air cleaner component/mechanism and squeeze to make room when the carburetor is inserted. Onan 4000 works fine after switching to this carb. I find this to be a solid replacement given the short run times so far. (It's just ridiculous how much the manufacturer charges for a carburetor replacement for those cheap alternators. They also don't have a rebuild kit. In every industry, I know that does it to my customers. Especially when they have a near-monopoly in the RV (Besides 90% of people who own one of these will change that non-repairable crap.) $70 vs $300+ and it worked great on my Onan 4000K series. Getting the old stuff out is a bit difficult. You must first remove the air filter and bracket, then work blindly in the throat area to find the two long screws that hold the carburetor in place (10mm screw).
