Very important. great beats

I use these taps regularly as an electrician. They work great. Best value for money of any tool I own. They can go to bat, but I try to only use them in exercises to prolong life.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Repair

Excellent quality when used correctly

At this price point, you really can't go wrong. Use cutting oil or spray lubricant, don't overtighten and keep it straight, and it will last for multiple uses in soft to soft materials. I often run and back up to clear the shavings from the bit so it doesn't get stuck.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • No machine gun

Not as expected for drill parts and accessories

As soon as I received my kit, I plugged the #12 bit into my 12 volt battery. Place 14 gauge flat bar in a vise once the bit is in the threaded portion. in a 1 square inch 16ga tube in a vise. as soon as it hits the threaded part. The bit is also broken in half. inferior quality

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • weak

Great kit - drill bit

It's just the right dimensions for what I need to do, the kit is very well made and I've drilled and cut 57 6-32 holes in the panel a fraction of the time which I would need using standard drill bits and taps. Great subwoofer for those self tapping screws I hate. Highly recommended

Pros
  • Easy to read panel
Cons
  • Not the best

Proper Technique Required

Arrived quickly, the quality looked great physically. A drill/tap was used to drill and tap a 10-32 hole. Successfully drilled a hole in a 1/8" aluminum plate. broke off. Tried another piece and turned it out by hand, still broke off. I've only seen these bits used a few times, need to verify proper usage methods.

Pros
  • Absolutely Amazing!
Cons
  • Quality

They are designed for thin metal

They are obviously designed for drilling and tapping thin metal such as electrical boxes where you only need to tap two or three threads because the metal is thin. After drilling the hole, start the drill as slowly as possible when driving the tap with a drill or impact driver. Coolant, adhesive liquid or cutting wax will help. These drill bits are cheaper than buying numbered drill bits, so I drill with a drill bit and then use the same set of drill bits in the screwdriver handle to cut the…

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Okay

Terrible metal quality, broke on first use

RUN. CHEAP MATERIALS. I pre-drilled some maple, drove slowly on low torque, and the damn thing broke right in front of my client on first use, ruining his countertop I'd just spent hours on. What a damn joke. I went to a shipping port, bought their cheap set and did the job, then spent hours digging the broken part out of the damn table.

Pros
  • Drill
Cons
  • Inefficient

The product does not correspond to the injury.

Different size tap than the one I received. Pretty confused too. First, they are not quick-clamping for an impact wrench. The surviving faucets were also in sizes I am not familiar with. From smallest to largest: 1/8, 3/32, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16, 3/8. For the price and the time it took to get here I'll probably just leave them and avoid the hassle. To the right of my photo are my 6/32 and 1/4-20 taps from my Greenlee set. Hope this helps someone else or maybe someone can tell me something I don't…

Pros
  • Countersink
Cons
  • New competitors have arrived

Great for ceiling lights, chandeliers and fans

We bought a $600 chandelier for our dining room. I called the company and spoke to a designer so they could make changes to their product. The included plate offered only one mounting option, but if like us you have a box with side-by-side screw holes, this meant you could only aim the light in one direction and the mounting plate couldn't be rotated. This is where our problem began. To get it working without ripping open the box and opening the cover I had to widen the screw holes to fit a #10

Pros
  • Electric drill parts and accessories
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
