As other reviewers have noted, the threads on both the spikes and inserts are poorly finished. too much play, rough surface, chips not removed, etc. Even if you pass the spikes through the insert several times before installation, they often get stuck during installation. I use better (and more expensive) spikes for (£150) speakers in my main system. It would have been unbearable there. If they got stuck trying to adjust, it would take three people to fix it! I wish it was possible to put zero or negative stars. These spiked legs are the worst quality product I've bought in a long time. I bought two packs for two speaker stands. In the first pack, the 3 nuts and inserts were screwed on correctly and matched perfectly. The 4th insert was miscut and the unthreaded lugs went in too far.
