🔊 Enhance Your Sound System with Parts Express Round Speaker Terminal Cup Review

The speakers were bought in the late 80's and are still standing, but after several military moves the cables didn't stay in place. So ordered and lo and behold, it worked. I think I'll keep those big old speakers.

This is a straight piece. 2 stars for an obvious step in the packaging of this device that was overlooked. You need to protect the connectors. They're sticking out right now, you'll probably want to protect them. Of course, one came to me bent. see fig.

They arrived quickly and were very easy to install. Once upon a time I was building speakers and I just had a wire coming out. But after years of connecting and reconnecting, it made sense. Actually it made sense a long time ago - I just didn't get around to doing it until I could just UPLOAD it here.

Made the mistake of buying a cheap speaker cup from China. Big mistake. Went back to those Parts Express units. Couldn't be happier! Good airtight seal, strong spring terminals, suitable for 12 AWG wire. Crappy Chinese ones like this Parts Express broke when I installed the cable. Literally broken.

I am buying these for a standalone home and using them on wheels WHY? To have 20 amp 12v dc hotspots for the price of 1/3 of a cigarette lighter plug all you have to do is grab the little cords that come with SO MANY 12v dc transformers (CHECK + and - first) , and then clean the wire and insert it into the tabs. Holds up amazingly well and my 12v radios, tv's and dvd players which had a transformer that steps down 120v ac to 12v dc are now eliminated and inverter power is wasted running these…

Bought 4 of these. The red terminal on 3 of them was captured from the start. After pushing hard to open the trapped clamps, they exploded. Some of the other connectors didn't have enough strength to hold the speaker wire. JAL Electronics, whoever they are, should be transporting this stuff!

I am buying them for offline use at home and on wheels, WHY?
